Which Stainless Steel Grades Weld Best

Most projects use 304 or 316 stainless steel. Grade 304 suits general use and food equipment. Grade 316 resists salt and chemicals better. Both grades weld well with the right filler. We also handle other grades on request. Our engineers will help you pick the best grade.

Common Stainless Steel Welding Methods

We select the method based on part thickness and joint type.

• TIG welding: Best for thin sheets and clean, precise welds. It gives excellent heat control for stainless steel. TIG is ideal for visible joints and medical parts.
• MIG welding: Faster for thicker parts and long seams. It works well for production runs and big assemblies.
• Spot welding: Quick and strong for sheet metal assemblies. Common for enclosures and brackets.
