Customized Stainless Steel Trays: Precise, Durable & On-Demand
Customized stainless steel trays – Sounds simple, but have you ever encountered these problems:
1-300x222.jpg)
- Purchased standard trays were several millimeters undersized and failed to fit the equipment.
- Rust spots appeared within half a year, causing product contamination.
- Dirt accumulated in weld areas and could not be fully removed even with thorough cleaning.
- The supplier repeatedly delayed delivery, holding up the entire production line.
- The process proved completely unfeasible after drawings were confirmed.
An inappropriate pallet can not only reduce efficiency but also lead to quality accidents. Since our establishment in 1999, we have been dedicated to solving all your problems, including these issues. And we promise: controllable delivery time, traceable quality, and feasible process.
Advantages of Stainless Steel & Common Applications
Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, resistant to high and low temperatures, and has high strength and a long lifespan. Its surface passivation film resists moisture, acids, alkalis, and disinfectants, making it well-suited for clean, demanding environments.
Compared to plastic or aluminum materials, stainless steel trays are less prone to deformation and bacterial growth, and have lower life cycle costs.
| Grade | Characteristics | Recommended Applications |
|---|---|---|
| 304 | Excellent corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability | Food equipment, general industrial trays |
| 316 | Molybdenum added, stronger resistance to chlorides and acids/alkalis | Medical sterilization, pharmaceutical, marine environments |
| 430 | Moderate corrosion resistance, lower cost | Dry indoor environments, light‑duty applications |
💡For medical applications, 316 is the preferred choice. For food and industrial use, 304 offers a good balance of cost and performance. In dry environments, 430 can be used to reduce costs.
Three Real Project Cases
Case One: Inspection industry – square stainless steel sample carrying tray
The customer approached us to customize a loading pallet, as they needed to weigh it frequently and transfer powders, metal shavings, chemical samples, etc. They requested smooth edges and stackability for storage.
What we did:
– Engineers recommended 304 stainless steel, balancing corrosion resistance and cost-effectiveness
– Offered three depth specifications (20/30/50mm), with the length and width dimensions customized according to the customer’s workbench surface
– Used laser cutting to ensure straight edges, then bent and welded to form, with rounded edges to prevent scratches
– Provided free samples for high-temperature baking and chemical reagent immersion tests, and optimized the bottom reinforcement ribs to prevent deformation
Result:
✅Delivered over 300 items. The 200°C oven was used continuously for 200 hours without deformation or oxidation discoloration.
✅Residues are easy to clean. The stacking design saves 40% of storage space.
✅The customer incorporated this tray into the laboratory standard configuration and recommended it to other institutions.
Case 2: Catering industry – stainless steel rectangular food trays
The kitchen equipment company from the United States requires a large number of trays for ingredient preparation, pickling, and serving finished products. The available market specifications do not match the customer’s demands. The customer then turned to us for customized stainless steel trays.
What we did:
– Provide three standard specifications (400×250×50, 300×180×30, 200×120×20mm)
– Made of 0.6mm thick 304 stainless steel, formed through deep stamping in one step, without welds or dead corners
– The surface is polished to a mirror finish (Ra ≤ 0.4μm), with rolled edges for hand protection
– Free samples are provided. Production will only commence after confirming suitability
Result:
– The first batch of 20,000 items was delivered, with the cleaning efficiency increased by 60%.
– The dishes were placed on the appropriate-sized trays, resulting in a 25% increase in serving efficiency and a 15% reduction in food waste.
Case 3: Mechanical equipment accessories‑stainless steel drip water collection tray
During the operation of industrial refrigeration equipment, a large amount of condensate water is produced, which drips onto the ground and causes safety hazards. The base is severely rusted. The customer previously used flat trays to collect the water.
Still, there was no drainage design, requiring frequent manual dumping, which was inconvenient and prone to spillage. It is urgently needed to have built-in drainage holes, strong sealing performance, and an inclined design.
What we did:
- Recommended material: 304 stainless steel plate (1.2mm standard, thickness customizable), with both rust resistance and load capacity.
- Full seamless welding on four corners and bottom plate, with finely polished welds for tight sealing.
- Pre-drilled drainage hole at bottom center with welded short pipe, directly connectable to PVC drainage pipes.
- Free bending angle optimization by engineers ensures stable center of gravity after water collection and prevents overturning.
Result:
✅A total of 30,000 items of the 20th proposal were delivered. Condensation water was directed through the drainage holes, and the floor no longer accumulated water.
✅The maintenance rate due to rust on the base decreased by 70%, eliminating potential safety hazards.
✅Customers incorporated our trays into the standard configuration of all new models and actively introduced cooperation with 3 other companies.
